  Dr Bilal, a dedicated Consultant General Surgeon, has a comprehensive background and extensive experience in surgical practice and medical education.

  Professional Roles:

  • Clinical Practice: Focuses on the active management of patients, particularly those with trauma and acute abdominal conditions. Regularly performs both laparoscopic and conventional general surgeries
  • High Dependency Unit: Oversees the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and ensures intensive care facilities are available under the care of Critical Care Medicine specialists
  • Teaching and Training: Actively involved in teaching and training postgraduate students, undergraduates, Operation Theater Technicians, and nursing staff. Supervisor and examiner at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP)
  • Workshops and Curriculum Development: Organizes workshops on trauma, emergencies, and colorectal surgeries. Played a role in developing the NUMS curriculum for Operation Theatre Technicians and holds a Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) from the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS)
